Adam Stephens began originating mortgage loans in 1998 at Guaranty Residential Lending after graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in American Studies. He left Guaranty to join Capstar lending in 2004. In his career, Adam has helped hundreds of customers make important lending decisions and become owners of their dream homes.

When not financing houses, Adam stays busy keeping up with his wife and two kids, watching UT sports, enjoying the Sturdy Shannon’s at Maudie’s #2, and working with the local neighborhood association and the city planning contact team. Mark Abernathy graduated from the University of Texas and began his mortgage banking career in 1990 with Lumbermen’s Investment Corporation (LIC), where his loan volume consistently ranked him among the top in the country. After 14 years in the business, Mark and several colleagues founded Capstar Lending, which later became part of First Bank.

Mark and his wife Carolyn have twin sons, Matthew and Robert. He stays active with his family, loves to fish, runs marathons, and follows sports.

Robert is a native Austinite and is a graduate of University of Texas at Austin. He grew up in the mortgage industry and decided to make it his career following graduation in 2022. Robert is dedicated to making the loan process easier through buyer education and thorough communication.

He is available on the weekends and always makes his clients a priority.

Rosie is a yellow Lab and a native Austinite. A proud graduate of Mud Puppies, Rosie greets everyone with enthusiastic tail wags and lots of smooches. She’s always available to provide emotional support to Redbud Home Loan clients through snuggles and celebratory zoomies.

When she’s not at the office, Rosie enjoys long walks, receiving treats, fetching her favorite raccoon toy, and taking a daily afternoon nap.
